September 4, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office has allowed Dzijana Maisiejenka to leave the country, \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja’s legal counsel said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maisiejenka was arrested after crossing the border from Georgia on September 2, only to be released hours later, according to lawyer Ale\u015b Michalevi\u010d. Authorities did not remand the Belarusian in custody but banned her from leaving Armenia pending consideration of her extradition case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus put Maisiejenka on a wanted list for protesting, Michalevi\u010d said at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Cichano\u016dskaja’s counsel, Leanid Maroza\u016d, the prosecutors have informed Maisiejenka in an official statement that there is no legal basis for restricting her border crossing. They have also sent the statement to the Armenian interior ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja’s team submitted to Armenian authorities evidence of politically-motivated reprisals against Maisiejenka, organized by the Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prosecutors found that the charges leveled by Minsk were not punishable by Armenian law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
