August 26, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has not received any official requests from Ukraine to withdraw troops from the shared border, Anatol H\u0142az, spokesman for the foreign ministry, has told journalists, commenting on yesterday’s statement by Ukraine\u2019s foreign ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Released amid Russian troops\u2019 advance on Pokrovsk, a Ukrainian logistics hub in Donbas, the statement sounded alarm over troops buildup in Belarus\u2019 Homiel region under the guise of drills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian diplomats saw the statement online and failed to understand its “convoluted” logic, H\u0142az noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ukrainian leadership launches combat drones through the territory of Belarus,\u201d acting surprised a week later as the Belarusian army started \u201cperforming tasks to ensure the security of the territory of Belarus and our citizens,” the foreign ministry\u2019s press office quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

H\u0142az suggested that Kyiv may be playing “a cunning game. . . designed for internal use or to receive applause from the West.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
