August 23, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Beijing and Minsk will expand the construction of transportation infrastructure between China and Europe, including freight rail links, says a joint statement of the two governments released by the Chinese foreign ministry during the Chinese premier Li Qiang\u2019s visit to Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sides also pledged to maintain the safe operation of the international logistics supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement stressed the commitment by both states to deepening cooperation within China’s Belt and Road initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two months ago, Polish President Andrzej Duda had talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing to communicate his concern about the migration crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border, allegedly orchestrated by the Belarusian authorities. He reportedly informed the Chinese leader about problems with cross-border traffic within the Belt and Road initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk confirmed its readiness to discuss the migration crisis with Warsaw after China urged the two countries to resolve their differences through dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
