June 1, Pozirk. Sustained wage growth and slowing inflation are likely to boost consumer activity in Belarus, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) said in its macroeconomic survey released on June 1.
The EDB drew this conclusion after Belarusian statisticians reported a 6.7 percent increase in real wages in April, following an 8.1 percent rise in March.
In the public sector, real wage growth accelerated to 9.7 percent in April from 9.2 percent in March.
