March 19, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka released 250 prisoners as a result of his talks with US special envoy John Coale in Minsk earlier today, said Belarus’ opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja in her Telegram channel.
As many as 235 stayed in Belarus, while 15 former prisoners have been taken to Lithuania and are receiving necessary assistance, she added.
The United States lifted sanctions on two Belarusian banks, Biełinvest and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, and the Ministry of Finance of Belarus, the Belarusian leader’s press office reported.
