February 12, Pozirk. Belarusian artist Vadzis Krasoŭski has created a large portrait of Georgia’s soccer star Khvicha Khvaratskhelia out of coins to mark the PSG winger’s 25th birthday on February 12.

Krasoŭski used 3,525 Georgian 5-tetri coins to symbolize the player’s roots, along with French 5- and 10-centime coins to represent openness to the world and international recognition.

He said the work reflects “the path, the country, the son of Georgia who moves forward and takes its name with him.”

“My picture is huge, like the hospitable heart of Sakartvelo [Georgia]. It was conceived as a public gesture and a cultural symbol,” he said on TikTok.

Regarded as one of the best players in the world and the greatest Georgian player of all time, Khvaratskhelia is known for his dribbling, agility and playmaking.

Krasoŭski, born in Mahiloŭ in 1972 and known as the creator of the Facemoney Illusion technique, has lived in Batumi since 2023. He also created a portrait of Georgian actor Vakhtang Kikabidze and has met members of the actor’s family in person.
