High-treason case against journalist Dabravolski sent to Minsk City Court

February 3, Pozirk. A high-treason case against journalist Pavieł Dabravolski has been sent to the Minsk City Court, the Belarusian Association of Journalists reported.
The trial is expected in late February.
Dabravolski was arrested on January 22, ten days after his 35th birthday. He may face up to 15 years’ imprisonment.
In late August, the human rights community declared him a political prisoner.
The journalist had worked for the BelaPAN media company before the KGB branded it an “extremist group” in November 2021.
In October 2020, he was arrested in Minsk and jailed for 15 days.
According to Dabravolski’s social media, after leaving Belarus at the end of 2021, he traveled around the world. In October 2024, he returned to Minsk.
At least 32 media workers are held behind bars in Belarus, according to the Reporters Without Borders.
