Rubel up against key currencies at week’s last trading

January 23, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 2.844 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), hitting a high comparable to the value recorded on March 16, 2023, when it stood at 2.8487.

The Belarusian currency also climbed to 4.0764 per 10 yuan and 3.7411 per 100 Russian rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency since January 15 and remained at 3.391 against the euro.

In the outgoing week (January 19-23), the rubel rose by 1.93 percent against the US dollar, 1.81 percent against the yuan, but fell by 0.63 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 16.43 percent against the dollar in 2025.
