Former Finance Minister Korbut dies
January 19, Pozirk. Mikałaj Korbut, Belarus’ finance minister in 1997-2008, has died at the age of 77, state media reported.
The funeral ceremony will take place on January 20 at the All-Saints Temple in Minsk at Kalinoŭski Street. He will be buried at the Uskhodnija cemetery.
Korbut also served as first deputy chairman of the National Bank of Belarus.
