Rubel drops 3 percent against euro at BCSE this week

December 12, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated to 3,4555 against the euro at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, losing 2.92 percent of its value against the European currency this week.

The rubel also dropped to 2.9483 per US dollar, 4.1756 per 10 yuan, but climbed to 3.7037 per 100 Russian rubles.

In the outgoing week (December 1–5), the Belarusian currency weakened by 2.49 percent against the dollar and 2.75 percent against the yuan but rose by 2.14 percent against the ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 16.07 percent against the dollar in the first 11 months of 2025.

Belarus restricts access to six crypto sites over “inappropriate” ads

December 11, Pozirk. Belarus has restricted access to six cryptocurrency websites. The information ministry accused okx.com, bitget.com, bingx.com, bybit.com, weex.com, gate.com of displaying inappropriate ads. On November 14, Alaksandar Łukašenka said that crypto mining was a promising area of the economy.
