November 7, Pozirk. Members of the Communist Party of Belarus, along with lawmakers and pro-government activists, laid flowers and wreaths at the Vladimir Lenin Monument in downtown Minsk to commemorate the anniversary of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.
Belarus remains the only former Soviet republic that observes the date as an official public holiday. It is also celebrated in Moldova’s breakaway region of Transnistria, according to the state-run newspaper SB. Belarus Segodnya.
