October 21, Pozirk. Belarusian civil defense and rescue services are holding a comprehensive exercise at a training ground near Barysaŭ, Minsk region, the ministry for emergencies reported.
Crews are trained to respond to drone attacks on gas supply pipelines and large-scale disruptions of municipal and energy supply lines that form part of the critical infrastructure.
The exercise is taking place amid the continued incursions of Belarusian airspace by drones that Russia uses to attack Ukraine and frequent attacks by Ukraine on Russia’s fuel infrastructure.
Officials from ministries and the Belarusian Security Council officials are observing the drill.
