Pakistan advertises job vacancies in Belarus

September 5, Pozirk. Pakistan’s Bureau of Emigration and Employment has announced job opportunities in Belarus, several months after Alaksandar Łukašenka declared his intention to attract at least 150,000 workers from Pakistan.
Vacancies in Belarus have been listed on the Bureau’s website since August 25.
For example, Lahore-based B.M.R International is recruiting five welders, 10 bricklayers and concrete workers, and 15 bar benders and carpenters. The company offers a monthly salary of 1,800 rubels (about $600).
Punjab-based American International is seeking 200 fish-processing workers, with salaries of around $500 a month. Meanwhile, Lahore-based Group Abu Abdullah is looking for six blue-collar workers with pay ranging from $500 to $600. The company has already filled 19 similar positions.
This spring, Łukašenka and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed a mechanism to bring Pakistani migrant workers to Belarus. The Belarusian ruler mentioned plans to invite up to 150,000 Pakistani workers amid labor shortages exacerbated by emigration.
