September 4, Pozirk. The Belarus 1 state television channel on September 4 reported the arrest of a Polish national in Lepel, Viciebsk region. It showed footage of a violent arrest and plans to broadcast a report about the man soon, claiming that officers seized a “secret document” from the Pole.
In June, Ivan Tertel, chief of the Committee for State Security (KGB), said his agency had arrested 14 suspected spies, including foreigners, in the first half of the year.
