Łukašenka to attend China’s parade alongside North Korean, Russian leaders

August 29, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka will attend a parade in Beijing on September 3 to mark 80 years since Japan surrendered in World War Two, bringing an end to its occupation of parts of China.

China’s leader Xi Jinping has also invited North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Belarusian ruler will also take part on the Tianjin Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) scheduled for August 31-September 1, his press office has announced.

The SCO leaders are expected to discuss a strategy until 2035. Łukašenka will also take part in a SCO+ meeting that is to bring together the leaders of observer states, international organizations and high-ranking guests, the press office said.

Belarus was admitted to the SCO last year.
