Rubel down against US dollar, yuan at BCSE on August 18

August 18, Pozirk. The rubel depreciated to 2.9786 against the US dollar at the August 18 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

The Belarusian currency also dropped to 4.1201 per 10 Chinese yuan but climbed to 3.6998 per 100 Russian rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.46 against the euro.

Last week (August 11 – 15), the rubel gained 0.41 percent against the dollar and 0.1 percent against the Russian ruble, but lost 0.46 percent against the euro and 0.39 percent against the yuan.

The Belarusian currency gained 12.97 percent against the dollar in the first seven months of 2025.
