Viciebski Kurjer launches fundraiser amid financial uncertainty

June 30, Pozirk. The BySol Solidarity Foundation has announced a fundraiser for Viciebski Kurjer, an independent website focusing on Viciebsk region news updated by exiled journalists.

Alaksandar Kornyšaŭ, owner and editor in chief, said the website is on the brink of extinction, noting that Viciebsk deserves to receive truthful news.

He seeks €3,500 in donations to cover three months’ salaries, web hosting and video posting.

On January 14, 2022, the government declared Viciebski Kurjer “extremist content.”
