Ukraine sanctions Dziaržynsk plant that assembles multiple-rocket launch systems
June 20, Pozirk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted targeted 10-year sanctions against Dziaržynsk-based Precision Electronic and Mechanical Equipment Plant, which assembles the Palanez multiple-rocket launch systems.
Belarusian officials had trumpeted the system, saying it has range up to 300 kilometers.
Measures against the company provide for an asset freeze, a ban on transit and trade operations, a prohibition to participate in privatization. The restrictions are valid for 10 years.
On April 15, the European Union announced that Ukraine joined its 27 March 2025 decision on restrictive measures connected with the situation in Belarus and its support of Russian aggression. Among other things, the decision provided for sanctions on the Dziaržynsk plant and its CEO Jury Čorny.
The EU sanctioned the company for assisting Russia in its war against Ukraine.
