Military ideology chief denounces West’s “terrorist practices”

June 18, Pozirk. The defense ministry’s chief ideology officer has urged officials to be on guard against “Western provocations” and “terrorist practices.”
“Terrorist practices targeting civilians have become more and more common. Since the West keeps plotting to destabilize the situation in our country, our country’s security bloc must be ready for possible provocations and non-standard events, taking into account the regional situation,” Leanid Kasinski told a conference on state ideology in Minsk.
He pointed out Belarus lies at the epicenter of the “largest military and political crisis in the region.”
Minsk sees European countries pretending to strive for peace in Ukraine but “raising the degree of escalation” instead, the general said, as quoted by the defense ministry.
According to the ministry, the conference was focused on “practical activities” to maintain the morale among officials and security officers.
It was attended by police and intelligence officers. The participants were shown the Belarusian army’s “modern ideological technical assets.”
