Defense industry chief: Minsk sells arms to 60 countries

May 26, Pozirk. Belarusian defense companies export their products to more than 60 countries, Dźmitryj Pantus, chairman of the Belarusian State Defense Industry Committee, told the state-run Belarus 1 TV channel in an interview broadcast yesterday evening.
Pantus talked to journalists during the MILEX-2025 arms and military exhibition that took place in Minsk last week. The defense show allowed Belarusian companies to sign a record number of contracts worth more than $390 million, as compared to $277 million recorded two years ago, the official noted.
More than 50 official delegations from over 30 countries visited the exhibition, which presented 750 units of weapons and equipment made in Belarus, China, India, Iran, Pakistan and Russia, Pantus said.
MILEX-2025 featured a large section on drones and anti-drone systems, Belarus-made electronic warfare equipment, including products by KB Radar, he added. Radar is currently under Western sanctions, just as the 558th Aircraft Repair Plant based in Baranavičy, Brest region, involved in a joint Belarusian-Russian production of Osvei twin-engine light multipurpose aircraft.
Belarus is also planning to design the Su-75 Checkmate stealth fighter jet in cooperation with Russian companies, Pantus said.
