Rubel at two-year high against US dollar at BCSE on May 12

May 12, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 3.001 against the US dollar at the May 12 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, a value comparable to one recorded at trading about two years ago.

The Belarusian currency also climbed to 4.1533 per 10 Chinese yuan but fell to 3.69 per 100 Russian rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.39 against the euro.

Last week, (May 5 – 8), the rubel appreciated by 0.55 percent against the greenback, 0.2 percent against the yuan, 2.94 percent against the euro but weakened by 0.26 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 12.16 percent against the dollar in the first four months of 2025.
