Belarus records warmest days on April 17, 18

April 18, Pozirk. Temperatures across Belarus hit record highs yesterday and today, according to Pozirk’s analysis of the Biełhidramiet’s data.

Yesterday, 38 locations recorded the highest temperature of April 17. Drahičyn, Brest region, posted 27.8 degrees Celsius, setting a new nationwide high after 26.2 degrees recorded on April 17, 1972 in the Homiel region’s Žytkavičy.

By noon today, temperatures in northern Belarus reached 24.6 degrees, exceeding 22.9 degrees recorded 20 years ago in southern Belarus.

Temperatures are expected to rise to 29 degrees today.
