Belarus receives upgraded Tor-M2 missile systems

November 21, Pozirk. Belarus has received an upgraded Tor-M2 (SA-15 Gauntlet) short-range surface-to-air missile battery, the country’s defense ministry reported.
Russian designers improved the equipment taking into account Ukraine combat experience, it said.
A Tor-M2 battery is typically composed of four transporter, erector, launcher and radar vehicles, a mobile command post, two transloader vehicles and one engineering support vehicle.
The defense ministry said that one system can engage 16 targets simultaneously.
In January 2023, the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade based in Fanipal, Minsk region, put into service the Tor-M2K systems that had arrived in Belarus in December 2022.
Tor-M2 systems are stationed near the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Astraviec, Hrodna region.
