Reservists called up for air defense drill

October 6, Pozirk. Belarusian reservists have been called up for a drill at an unnamed base of the Air/Air Defense Forces, the defense ministry’s press office reports.
Officers will improve their commanding skills, while reservists will train in operating and camouflaging engineering equipment as well as protecting the troops’ positions, the ministry said. Air/Air Defense Commander Andrej Łukjanovič is in charge of the training.
The exercise is part of a new series of drills launched on September 30 under the command of Pavieł Muraviejka, chief of the General Staff.
The Belarusian army is regularly conducting exercises amid Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine. Earlier this year, a series of exercises were held in response to NATO’s Steadfast Defender multi-domain exercise, incorporating land, air, sea, cyber and space operations.
